Competitive football is back at the AEC Protection Ground! With the playing surface looking absolutely splendid, we hosted Totton & Eling in our first league match on Saturday.
Mark Fawley gave us the lead inside the opening minute before the visitors equalised before half time.

The second half saw us concede two penalties which were both converted, condemning us to a 3-1 loss.
Good luck to Totton & Eling this season who look a vastly improved side despite having lost their manager Craig Stanley during the week. They were certainly bearing the fruits of their new partnership with AFC Totton at the weekend with several new recruits in on loan from their near neighbours.

Thank you to the 143 people who were in attendance. That number put us as the second highest attendance in Wessex League Division One at the weekend, narrowly falling short of New Milton Town's 149.
We are back in action tomorrow night as we host Wessex Premier side Fareham Town in the preliminary round of the Hampshire Senior Cup. The winners of this tie will host Alton in the next round.
Programmes will be available tomorrow night providing any last minute printer hiccups! Cup payments are taken on the door for entry.
